Conference discusses strategies to reverse biodiversity loss and secure funding for global actions

The 16th Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity (COP 16), which will take place in Cali, Colombia, starting on the 21st, will focus on the implementation of the Global Biodiversity Framework (GBF) and its 23 targets by 2030. After years of negotiations to reverse the loss of global biodiversity, this conference is the first dedicated to concrete action. WWF-Brasil emphasizes the need for a robust monitoring plan, with clear indicators, to measure progress, as well as reinforcing the critical role of financing to enable the implementation of the GBF, especially for developing countries. To discuss our position and our projects in support of this objective, we will be present at various events during the conference; check the list below:
