Caco Galhardo, from the collective Fervura No Clima, signs comic strips that describe the milestones of WWF-Brazil's actions in this first quarter of a century

In 2021, WWF-Brazil achieves 25 years of history. It's been 25 years of struggle and resistance, mobilization of society, and action to keep nature preserved.

Despite the historic mark, we have nothing to celebrate or party, as we are -all of us- committed to ensuring the conservation of the Amazon, the Cerrado, the Atlantic Forest and the Pantanal. From north to south of the country, there are causes and issues to be disclosed, there are actions to be engaged and supported. Therefore, celebration will come only when all of Brazil's nature is safe.

But this is an important milestone. We believe that WWF-Brazil is all of us. Nothing WWF-Brazil does would be possible without the efforts of partners and without the engagement and participation of countless people, including you.

In honour of everything it has done together with its partners and nature lovers along its 25 years presence in Brazil, WWF-Brazil invited the cartoonist Caco Galhardo, from the group Fervura No Clima, to provide color and fun to the milestones of this story.

Galhardo created a series of comic strips about the importance of conserving animals, such as the jaguar, the tapir, the shark and the golden lion tamarin; about defending the lives of all animals (and not just the "cuddly ones"); on alternatives for energy generation that do not require the creation of dams; about the Earth Hour movement; and on several other topics related to nature protection.

This series of strips gave rise to a beautiful and colourful free ebook, a special gift for ones who are with WWF-Brazil on this journey. May it be a moment of hope and renewal for this journey for all of us.
